Stratoscience is a joint venture between Sanlam (2nd biggest insurance company in South Africa), and the University of Pretoria (Business Enterprises at the University of Pretoria).

StratoScience provides services to international financial companies throughout the world. We have developed a powerful suite of models which predict the likelihood of customers to lapse or defect. Unlike retrospective analysis of a policy portfolio, we provide tools to be used at the point of sale (Operational level), daily/monthly management of sales (Tactical level) and Executive support (Strategic level). It is all about understanding customer behavior patterns and pro-active management in retaining clients.
We have been developing these models and services since 2002 for major UK/Europe financial institutions in life assurance, general insurance and different banking divisions.
